Video Verification Instructions for Apple Maps Verification

Step 1: Create an Apple Account
Already have an Apple Account (Apple ID)? Skip ahead to Step 2!
Start by creating an account at appleid.apple.com.
- Click Create Your Apple ID in the top right corner.
- Fill in your First Name, Last Name, Birthday, Email Address, Password, and Cell Phone Number.
- Apple will send a 6 digit verification code to the email used.
- Apple will send a 6 digit code to the phone number used.
- Once both codes are entered, your Apple Account will be ready to use.
Step 2: Complete Brand Profile
Go to the Add Brand claim on your Apple Maps listing:
- Choose Single Brand
- Add details of your business, your business name, category and website.
- Select “Yes, my organization owns this brand,” and click Next.
You will be asked to upload your logo, but you can skip past this step by clicking Next.
Then, you will be asked to select two verification methods. Please have two business documents ready for your appointment. Each document must:
- Include your business name
- Include your business address
- Be dated within the last 12 months
Accepted documents include utility bills, business licenses, signed lease agreements, insurance documents, tax documents, food/health/alcohol permits, or sales tax permits.
NOTE: Providing these business documents ensures your customers are seeing accurate information about your business when they find you on Apple Maps! Once submitted, this will go into review for up to five days.
Step 3: Verify Your Listing Location
Navigate to the top left hand corner and click on Locations.
- Click Add a Location, then select Organization Verification.
- Select two verification methods from the available selections.
Once the documents are submitted, approval usually takes up to three days.
